  1. I read the book Maus . In a summarized short version this is the Holocaust animal version told by the son of a survivor. In the beginning the son is about 21-29 years old and has a career of being a comic artist , and so he is asking his dad to tell his story so he could draw it out. During the story he drawing out he talks about the struggles his dad had with surviving with a wife and child ( not the artist , the other son of the survivor ) but in the end he explains that his dad died before he could finish the book completely so he stopped it there and published it . He became successful and is now making a movie based on his book. Trippy ending. I would reccommend this if you like art , and also a good holocaust survivor story.

  2. The book I have been reading is The War To End All Wars by Russell Freedman. This book revolves around World War I and the chain of events leading to the actual war. It talks about how it all started like the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, to the rivalry between German and Britain, to the actual starting point of the war. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about history or is wanting to learn about history. This book is targeted to mostly readers who like to read about World War I or like me readers who want to learn about World War I. I would give this book a 10 from a scale of 1-10 because it truly explains in detail all the events happening and they give you some pictures with captions so you would visually see what was going on.

  4. ( sorry I pressed post accidentally ) If you like American Revolution and a good survivor story , I would really recommend Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson . In this book you’ll be understanding the struggles of a young slave during the time of wars. You’ll be addicted to Isabel’s story and won’t be able to stop reading until you know what happens after all that has been done to her and her sister. I truly thought that this would be an old school themed book but in a way it has a good concept that modernizes the whole story.

The book I am reading this week is “The Indigo Spell” by Richelle Mead. It is the third book of the “Bloodlines” series, and a continuation of the “Vampire Academy” series, narrated by a sub character in the VA series named Sydney, an Alchemist (a group of humans who keep the world oblivious to the secret world of vampires). She is sent to Palm Springs to help hide the Moroi (vampires who do not kill in order to drink blood) Queen’s illegitimate sister, Jill, who is currently in mortal danger.
I would definitely recommend this book (and series) to people who love fantasy. I would also recommend this to people who love vampire novels, along with romance and drama. In the book, Sydney learns to develop her magic skills, defy her Alchemist superiors, “break” her golden lily tattoo, and learns to stop running away from loving Adrian, a Moroi (in their world, it is considered forbidden for a vampire to be with a human).
It is a very well-written book, but I recommend starting the VA series before you start this one to get a better background on Sydney.

  9. I have read a book called Of Mice and Men. They’re two men called George Milton and Lennie Small. They are living through the ‘great depression’ which lasted from 1929 until 1939. It was when there was a drastic number of unemployment and poverty in the economy. As they were looking for a job in Weed, California, Lennie who is mentally disabled touched a girl’s dress because it was a vibrant red color which caught his attention so the girl got startled and started shouting for help because he was trying to “rape” her. He got scared and didn’t know what to do so he hold on the end of the dress tighter so then they moved to a different place and they found a job also George also made sure that Lennie didn’t talk a lot that can cause the loss of their job. There were many problems that they had to deal with and also with Lennie’s death he caused with very small animals. What they wanted to do in have a very nice house and rabbits for Lennie. I would recommend this story to people who like sad-ending stories and if they like reading about how who people with many differences work together to live a happy life with many problems. This story is a very interesting story that is sad and with many problems. It can also be a debatable story if they think that one bad thing is better than the other, on the end of the story.

  11. I would recommend my book “the hunger games:mocking jay” to some one else. If you like very action filled and dramatic books than this is a very good book for you. I would recommend this to my friend Angel because it is very action filled with many intense moments such as being bombed by the capitol and the destruction of jets with explosive arrows.
Also the book is very interesting and will keep the ready wondering what will happen next such as the relation ship between Katniss and Petta or the many ways they are trying to take down the government.
And finally the book has many memorable characters such as Katnniss,Finnick, and Petta that we have known for the last books and are still having to over come many harsh challenges in front of them.
I would recommend this book but i think its best to read the other books in the series first to really under stand what is happening.

  12. The book “World War 1″by John Perritano is about the dramatic war that the united states participated in to bring in peace to other European countries that fought in the war.It talks about how it first started which was in June 28,1914.Later ended in November 11,1918.I would recommend this book to someone that wants to read a summery of the war with the most specific details as possible.A type of person that wants to see how weapons have changed over time and compare them to todays weapons also to a person who is deeply into politics and want to know why the USA participated in the war(> they got mad at the statement the Germans said”If Mexico joins joined the war on the German’s side the Germans would help take the southern region of the USA and get it back to Mexico”Also because the Germans sinked the Lusitania ship which included 128 american citizens)

The book I am reading this week is the graphic novel “Maximum Ride: Vol. 8”. The novels are written by James Patterson, and the graphic novels are drawn by Narae Lee. I would recommend this novel (and series) to people who like manga, action, young adult, and/or fantasy books. The art is incredible, and you can definitely tell how much thought was put into the novels. In the 8th book, the novels also incorporate global warming into the plot; Max and her flock have to spread awareness about global warming and how it’s effecting the world. It’s a great way to spread awareness, and I definitely respect their efforts to spread it.

It talks about how there was going to be like a special event with the Moon. The moon got hit which made earth have a bit more gravity. People living on earth had to deal with many natural disasters. A family struggles but they all take care of each other and make sure they all get to eat. I think people should read this book because it shows how even if things are going really bad they help each other because they care about their family.

I would definitely recommend this book, however I would more reasonably suggest this book to people who enjoy the genre informational and especially about the development of America. A type of reader that is “philomath” or in order words, a person that likes learning new things and cherishes the opportunity in receiving knowledge would be the type of person to be fit for this book. If a person who dislikes facts or factual texts then considerably that person would easily get bored with this book and decide not to read about the genre nonfiction or the topic of American revolution, which I don’t want anyone to experience.

  23. David and Goliath I have read is a sociology book by Malcolm Gladwell. So it talks about how there are many social stories that can relate to a bible story called David and Goliath. In the first chapter it talked about a bible story which is about how there was on war and two people had to fight so one team chose the strongest while the team chose the smallest person but the smartest. So when they war going to fight they all started laughing like it said in the book “Why do automatically assume that someone who is smaller or poorer of less skilled in necessarily at a disadvantage?” With the other stories it also has to do with racism, or people with disabilities and how they are judged of how they look. People should read this because it explains about the real world and how it’s not that fair.

I recommend the book “My Heart and Other Black Holes” by Jasmine Warga. The book centers around the life of sixteen-year old Aysel, who is constantly planning her own death. She decides to take the jump on April 7, with a friend she met on Suicide Partners, a website that unites the suicidal and depressed. As her pact with Roman becomes more concrete, she questions whether this decision is for the best.
I recommend this book to anybody who likes reading about other peoples’ miserable lives, especially people who happen to have a miserable life and want to die. The book can also give readers perspective of the young mind.
“My Heart and Other Black Holes” may also be particularly interesting to people who enjoy incorporating science to real life. Aysel makes several references to physics as she reveals more and more of her thoughts about death.
I would also like to point out that people who do not like books about other peoples’ miserable lives or enjoys victim blaming suicidal people should NOT read this book.
If you are suicidal or depressed, please not hesitate to get professional help. Books may help you go through a tough time, but cannot help you long term. I hope you’ll enjoy this book. Have a wonderful day.

They did this because they wanted to end the War wanting to beat Germany to win for the second time.I would recommend this book to someone who is very interested in learning about wars that is into politics or want to look at how war looks or feels like this is an important topic because it talks about how they mistreated the Jewish citizens this is important because we can learn to not mistreat people.
